Fat Bottom Bag

When I heard of the passing of a fellow Blogger, Wink, I decided to make my version of her "Fat Bottom Bag".   I've included a link to her tutorial below:

http://www.acreativebeing.com/2015/05/20/free-pattern-parisian-chique-fat-bottom-bag/

The yarn I used was a discontinued yarn called Patons Rainbow in "Sunset".
Ice Yarn has one like it, called Revelry:

Below are some pics of my bag as it was being made:

See pic below after 6 rows

Front Straps:

Decide where you want the straps to be. I wanted mine, in 4 rows from the edge.

If changing colors each row of edging like I did, you will need to work straps to match.  I also fastened off after each row & WORKED ONLY ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY WORK. I CHOSE NOT TO TURN. THIS IS UP TO YOU!!

FDC 12. Fasten off, leaving a long end to sew to front.

Dc 13 more rows. Fasten off, leaving long end, and sew to back straps & wherever you have chosen to place them in the front.

I ALSO CHOSE TO DO AN EDGING AROUND NECKLINE & ARMHOLES!!

I JUST DID FAN STITCH EVENLY AROUND.

TO FINISH OFF YOU CAN SEW TOGGLES ONTO ONE FRONT EDGE, OR DO AS I DID.

With double thickness of yarn, make a chain long enough to lace up front for 4 SHELLS. I chained 100.

Sew in all ends.

VOILA!!  YOU ARE ALL DONE
